Role:
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in facilitating Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), supporting job seekers, building relationships with schools, and ensuring program development and compliance. This position requires strong facilitation skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for working with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities to create meaningful employment and learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Training:
1. Lead engaging Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) classes focused on career exploration, job readiness, and skill development for students. 2. Assist students and job seekers with resume building, interview preparation, and vocational skill-building. 3. Organize and facilitate student tours of community employers and post-secondary education institutions.
Community Engagement:
1. Establish and nurture partnerships with schools, businesses, and community partners to expand program reach. 2. Work with educators, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and employers to align services with workforce needs.
Coordination & Compliance:
1. Assist in developing the annual program schedule, including evening and weekend programming. 2. Assist in planning and implementing new initiatives to strengthen and expand program offerings. 3. Support billing and authorization submissions for vocational rehabilitation services (GVRA). 4. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to align efforts with organizational goals.
Safety:
1. Maintain a safe environment for participants, follows transportation and emergency protocols, and adheres to all health and safety regulations.
Documentation:
1. Complete progress notes, incident reports, and attendance records within 24 hours of service completion. 2. Submit detailed tracking reports for each assigned participant. 3. Assist with documentation audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
Communication:
1. Maintain open communication with supervisors, colleagues, and case managers regarding participant progress.

Works well with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to provide seamless support and participant care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or closely related field or relevant experience with minimum of 3 years in a similar professional environment. 2. Must have valid driver’s license, current insurance, and reliable transportation. 3. Must be punctual and reliable. 4. Basic proficiency in using computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Prior work experience in a similar professional environment. 2. Knowledge of contemporary teaching methodologies for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS 1.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule (may include nights, weekends, and holidays) independently in a community setting. 2. Must be able to operate EmployAbility owned vehicles to transport participants. 3. Must be able to perform a wide variety of physical duties in various educational and employment environments.
