Valdosta Campus, travel between campuses may be required.[]{#docs-internal-guid-7945e1e9-7fff-f549-194e-719dd85bee06}The Apprenticeship Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating strategies, partnerships, and programs that create and strengthen apprenticeship opportunities for Wiregrass Georgia Technical College students. Build relationships throughout the College’s service delivery area (SDA) and, when appropriate, outside the SDA, between private businesses/industries, governmental agencies, and the College to establish and maintain apprenticeship programs. Promote apprenticeship opportunities to students and ensure that all required paperwork on the students’ part is completed and maintained. Support employers, students, and other key partners with challenges encountered with apprenticeship programs and work to remediate these challenges. Provide technical assistance to businesses/industries and work to keep their requirements for completing documentation at a minimum. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to build relationships with mentors, apprentices, and stakeholders.

- No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens.
Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- and•Two (2) years related work experience.

Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to meeting all other minimum qualifications, the highly desired candidate will possess one or more of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field. Two (2) years related Postsecondary Education experience. Previous experience in apprenticeship coordination, HR, or program management.
