The Coordinator of Student Leadership will provide operational support for the development, implementation, and assessment of student leadership initiatives at Augusta University. This position will work to enhance student engagement and success by developing programs that foster leadership skills, personal growth, and civic responsibility. ing to the Director of Student Organizations and Leadership, the Coordinator will collaborate with campus partners to create opportunities that empower students to lead effectively within and beyond the universitymunity.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to
LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
Assist with the implementation and facilitation of leadership development programs for both emerging and experienced student leaders, including programs tailored for underclassmen and upperclassmen. Serve as the primary advisor for the Path Finder (underclassmen) leadership program. Contributes to the development of leadership content that enhances students’ skills, builds their confidence, and aligns with institutional priorities.
STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Train and support all health science related studentanizations (about ). Organize workshops, training sessions, and other developmental events for studentanizations and their advisors. Partner with the Coordinator to plan and execute largescale studentleadership events, such as gatherings for studentanization presidents and endofyear celebrations recognizing leadership achievements. Ensure events run smoothly by managing logistics,munications, and dayof coordination.
DATA MANAGEMENT AND ASSESSMENT
Maintain records and data related to student participation in leadership programs, assessing trends and evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives. Utilize technology platforms, including Presence (JagLife), to track and manage engagement data andmunicate with student leaders. Provide input for reports and rmendations to enhance leadership programming.
COLLABORATION FOR LEADERSHIP AND CAMPUS TRADITIONS
Serve as the primary advisor for the operations of the university¿s official mascot (Augustus). Support the planning and delivery of universitywide leadership events and traditions, ensuring they align with Augusta University’s mission and values. Collaborate with campus partners to promote leadership opportunities that enrich the student experience. Serve as a resource for students, staff, and faculty seeking guidance on leadership development.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with one year of work experience in student engagement,munity engagement, andor event planning.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience with registered studentanizations, student leadership, andor university departments event planning
Knowledge and practical application of student development theory.
