BUSINESS SERVICES SPECIALIST 3.5 3.5
out of 5 stars Lake Charles, LA 70601 JOB This is a stand alone position in the Business Services Series. Incumbent identifies client needs, proposes business solutions to human resource challenges, connects to and coordinates with a variety of business resources, and promotes services and programs of Business and Career Solutions Center and partner agencies.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Conduct needs assessment of workforce. Identify business needs; manage and coordinate delivery of services to “Premier” business accounts. Analyze local, state, regional demographic and workforce information; monitor business trends. Develop and maintain knowledge of all required technology and on-line tools needed to access services for employers. Monitor skill and training deficiencies to ensure demand occupations are filled with qualified workers. Coordinate with regional sector strategies and regional sector coordinators to ensure alignment with local strategies which includes talent pipeline, career pathway data and sector based recruitment initiatives. Develop and implement methods of obtaining customer information (surveys, focus groups, committees) to identify and document customer need. Maintain continuous contact with business community. Coordinate customized on-the-Job training (OJT) programs. Acquire new business customers based on targeted strategy.
