GENERAL SUMMARY

The Job Coach plays a pivotal role in supportingindividuals with disabilities to achieve success in community employmentsettings. The primary responsibility of the Job Coach is to providesupport & guidance, promote skill development, foster independence, &ensure the individual is successful in their workplace.

ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS

Provides supervision to individuals in specific jobs accordingto employer specifications. May provide training to enhance quality ofwork product. Provide supervision & job support by communicatingregularly with supervisors at employment sites regarding individual?sprogress & checking in regularly with the individual. Document progresstowards employment plan objectives & report progress in the form ofdaily progress notes, monthly /quarterly progress reports & during teammeetings. Develop & maintain accurate, up-to-date case records, servicehours, & billing records. Meet established billing goals. Submit workculture report for all employed participants. Ensure the individual’shealth, safety & general well-being at the work site. Fosters goodworking relationships with employers. Maintains record of issues &/orconcerns at specific worksite & communicates needs to EmploymentSpecialist & Program Director. Provides transportation for individualsto & from worksites if necessary, ensuring compliance with safetyrequirements. Implements & writes vocational assessments as it relatesto industry st&ards. Attends all meetings, as requested. Fosters themaximum amount of individual independence, decreasing the level ofsupport as specified in the individual?s plan. Serves as a role model toindividuals supported in the agency. Adhere to all funding sourceregulations & Cape Abilities policies & procedures. Serves as mandatedreporter for suspected cases of abuse &/or neglect to the DisabledPersons Protection Commission (DPPC).

OTHER DUTIES

& RESPONSIBILITIESUnderstands & implements Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) UniversalSupports strategies & techniques with the individuals. Providetransportation to participants, when necessary, in a personal vehicle ora designated agency vehicle when available. Performs additional duties,as assigned.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

High schooldiploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior experience working withindividuals with disabilities in community-based employment settings.

Valid driver’s license in the state of Massachusetts. Ability to model& teach occupational tasks. See Competencies when applying.
