Job Coach/Mentor LIFE-Living Independently Forever 10 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360 JOB COACH (MENTOR) (for developmental & cognitively disabled adults) LIFE-Living Independently Forever – Plymouth, MA Living Independently Forever, Inc., aka LIFE is a non-profit organization providing supports for adults with developmental & intellectual differences in their pursuit of a meaningful, healthy independent life, for LIFE. An important part of that is the goal of successful and fulfilling employment. The LIFE Employment Division in Plymouth is currently seeking 1 Job Coach (Mentor) (approximately 33 hours weekly). At LIFE we currently have a $1000 Sign On Bonus paid at 3 months and 6 months!

This position is a fulfilling way to transition from doing the work–to coaching and mentoring someone with IDD on how to do the work and/or learn job-site skills. You will go home feeling good about what you have seen them accomplish. This is a fun, hard job with great potential for growth!

QUALIFICATIONS

Have been successfully employed, ideally in Automotive, Hardware, Retail, Restaurant, Hospitality. A teaching or training background is excellent. Experience in coaching or mentoring in any environment valued. Supportive and Positive Approach Required! PATIENCE, KINDNESS, and

This Full Time Position is:

• Monday-Friday primarily regular daytime hours ; with an occasional Saturday rotation. This is an in-person position.
• Ability to provide individual instruction to the wonderful LIFE individuals we support to help them reach their full potential in their workplace. (Locations are throughout the Plymouth and surrounding area .)
• We will do our best to work with you to create a schedule that works for you and for LIFE if you are the person for the job.

The Job Coach will be working with different individuals at different work locations to help them be their best! Must live in or around the Plymouth, MA area. Your desk will be in Plymouth. Part-time employees 20-29 hours per week earn PTO, Holiday, and Sick time!

BE dependable, patient, and supportive! Must be outgoing and organized. Must have excellent verbal and training skills; ability to manage an email account & basic computer skills. Must have reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record. Enjoy collaborating with people of different age groups, cultures, and abilities. Be able to build confidence and independence in our clients in the workplace and community. Provide transportation as needed to employment sites. Employee will need to use their personal vehicle for much of the transportation (employees are reimbursed for mileage ) Applicant must have the stamina to be present in the varied workplaces with the client to provide proper job coaching support. Maintain sanitary conditions of workspaces and vehicles and continually work with clients to encourage their understanding of excellent hygiene practices. Responsibilities Provide guidance and support to individuals seeking employment, focusing on workforce development and social work principles. Conduct interviews and assessments to identify client needs and goals. Develop and implement personalized training and mentoring programs. Collaborate with community resources to assist clients with developmental disabilities and autism. Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and outcomes.

Requirements:

Cannot be overstated: Dependability, Patience and Positivity are required to mentor these individuals. Experience with the population we work with is excellent–but we will train the right candidate (Personal experience and Volunteer Work Counts!) Must be able to maintain professionalism in all workplaces. Must be willing to attend training through LIFE for CPR/First Aid Per the state of

be able to pass CORI, DPPC and Fingerprint check and have an MVR record acceptable to LIFE’s Auto Insurance carrier .
