$60,000-$64,000 Position Summary The Employer Services Program Manager is a programmatic leadership role on the Education & Training Center’s (E&T) Workforce Development team. The position is responsible for overseeing and managing employer engagement and employment services across workforce development programs. This position plays a critical role in ensuring successful employment outcomes, improving job placement rates, and strengthening long-term job retention rates of graduates. Reporting to the Senior Director of Workforce Development, the Program Manager works across teams and with external employer partners to implement high-impact workforce development strategies. This includes direct placement services, employer engagement, customized talent matching, post-placement support, retention services, and data-driven performance program reporting. Key Responsibilities Employer Engagement & Partnership Development Lead the development and implementation of the employer outreach strategy to build and sustain strong partnerships. Serve as the primary point of contact for employer partners, aligning their talent needs with qualified candidates from across E&T programs. Ensure employer satisfaction through regular communication, feedback loops, and performance reporting. Program & Talent Pipeline Management Manage the employment placement pipeline, including candidate and employer sourcing, screening, referral, and job placement tracking. Collaborate with program managers and instructors to match job seekers with employer opportunities. Ensure program teams and trainees are equipped with real-time job leads, market data, and employer insights. Job Placement Coordination Develop and maintain job and direct-hire pipelines across programs. Conduct host site orientations and ensure employment placements are completed and compliant with program standards. Monitor employment progress and support host sites in managing expectations and performance. Track program conversion metrics and use data to improve program. Outreach and Recruitment Strategy Plan and execute employer engagement events such as job fairs, hiring days, sector-focused events, and employer info sessions. Collaborate with the YGB Marketing team to develop outreach and promotional materials for all events. Manage post-event evaluation surveys and analytics to assess employer satisfaction and improve future programming. Support employer branding initiatives that highlight successful alumni stories and employer partnerships. Retention Services & Post-Placement Support Provide individualized coaching to newly employed participants to support retention and workplace success, particularly during the first 90 days. Conduct regular employer site visits and check-ins to address performance concerns, gather feedback, and build strong supervisory relationships. Develop customized retention plans for participants with higher barriers, coordinating with internal staff and external partners to address challenges such as transportation, childcare, or digital access. Serve as a mediator between employers and employees to resolve workplace issues and prevent early terminations. Engage alumni in ongoing coaching, professional development, and career advancement planning. Monitor and track retention milestones at 30, 60, 90, 180 days, and up to 2 years, and prepare outcome data for grant and stakeholder reporting. Performance Management & Data Reporting Document all employer contacts, candidate referrals, and placements in the Apricot database and other relevant systems. Work with the Program Manager of Career Services to ensure graduate follow-up is completed and employment retention is verified. Analyze and report on key performance indicators to meet funder, grant, and internal reporting requirements. Continuously assess systems and workflows to improve efficiency, service delivery, and employer/participant experience. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Bachelor’s degree in human services, Business, Education, or related field. 4+ years of experience in workforce development, employer engagement, career services, or program management. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employer partners and stakeholders. Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment, including immigrants, English learners, and low-income populations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, and job readiness platforms.

Preferred:

Knowledge of Greater Boston’s labor market and employer landscape. Experience with CRM or case management software: Apricot, Salesforce Bilingual or multilingual ability is a plus. Work Environment & Schedule This position is primarily on-site with flexibility for hybrid work when appropriate. Some evening or weekend availability may be required for events or employer-related activities.
