JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Workforce Development Outreach Coordinator, in partnership with the Director of Workforce Education, is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships between Itawamba Community College and local industries, businesses and economic development partners. This role focuses on understanding the workforce training needs of the region and assisting in facilitating customized training solutions, partnerships and opportunities that align with ICC’s mission to support regional economic growth. Duties include, but are not limited to: Serve as a liaison between ICC and local/regional business and industries to assess workforce development and training needs.

Develop, promote and implement customized training programs for local industries in collaboration with ICC trainers and leadership. Promote and help organize customized training opportunities by working closely with ICC instructors and staff.

Proactively engage with industries and businesses to foster workforce partnerships.

Build relationships with employers, training providers and community organizations to promote and support workforce development initiatives. Regularly connect with business and industry partners to strengthen relationships and increase awareness of ICC’s workforce education resources.

Connect entities with workforce development resources and opportunities.

Support workforce initiatives by linking employers, training providers and community organizations to available training and support services.

Coordinate on-site visits, informational sessions and presentations to promote ICC’s workforce development offerings.

Assist in the development of grant proposals, reports and documentation for workforce training initiatives.

Assist in tracking and reporting outcomes of training programs including participation, satisfaction and impact.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, labor market data and ICC’s program offerings.

Represent ICC at local events, job fairs and workforce-related programing.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth delivery and support of training services. Work closely with ICC’s internal departments to ensure a smooth and responsive experience for businesses and organizations seeking training.

Collaborate with ICC Community Relations on marketing suggestions and materials.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Workforce Division’s mission.
