DESCRIPTION

Support individuals with disabilities in obtaining a job, learning workplace expectations, and performing job duties in a community employment job. Develop community employment sites and provide on-site training of job responsibilities and appropriate social skills for adults with disabilities. Assess individual interests, natural supports, and skills to assure job placements are compatible with each individual’s needs. Maintain on-going communication and positive relationships between employers, program participants, and various agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work with adults with disabilities. Must be flexible in work duties and work hours (will include some nights, weekends and holidays). High School Diploma and 4 years of work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Regional travel required among Catawba, Caldwell, and Alexander counties. Background check, MVR check, Driver’s License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.
