Work Schedule :

Hourly Employment :

Roster positions are paid hourly and do not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, life insurance, paid leave, or paid holidays.

Limited Hours :

Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period.

Pension System :

Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system. While roster positions do not include benefits, they are often a pathway to full-time, benefited employment with the City. Many of our current full-time employees started in roster positions, and we encourage you to explore this opportunity as a potential first step in your career with us. Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:

The Golden Leaf Case Manager/Career Advisor works within the Workforce Development Department and is responsible for providing training and career guidance, assisting and directing participants’ successful completion of his/ her employment plan in preparation for job readiness under the Golden Leaf Grant. The position will work with diverse residents in need of education and training services within targeted neighborhoods for the purpose of enhancing their ability to find and retain meaningful employment. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position is Non-Exempt under FLSA policy.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree with 1-3 years of experience in Non-Profit, Workforce Development, Education, or a closely related field “OR” a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience in Non-Profit, Workforce Development, Education, or a closely related field Valid Driver’s License An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications): Advanced Microsoft Office experience Experience in training, education, career development, or resource development Experience serving communities with knowledge of local needs and resources
