Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Vocational Rehabilitation Qualified Professional (VRQP) to join our team. The VRQP will provide individualized vocational counseling, job coaching, and support services to clients with disabilities, helping them secure and maintain meaningful employment. This role involves assessing client needs, developing personalized employment plans, and collaborating with employers to ensure successful placements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments to evaluate clients’ skills, interests, and abilities. Develop individualized employment plans tailored to clients’ goals and abilities. Provide vocational counseling, job coaching, and skill-building sessions to clients. Collaborate with employers to create suitable job opportunities and provide ongoing support for client placements. Monitor client progress and adjust employment plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including case notes and progress reports. Advocate for clients and facilitate access to necessary resources, such as training programs, assistive technology, and community services. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation, counseling, or a related field. Current certification as a Qualified Professional in Vocational Rehabilitation (or eligibility to obtain). Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and client management systems. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field. Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
