OVERVIEW
Working in collaboration with the Employment Team (EMP), Community Engagement (CE) team, and Network Directors (NDs) , the Workforce Development Navigator, reporting to the Triad Employment Program Manager, will divide their time between employer development (50%), case management (30%), and community engagement (20%). This position plays a pivotal role in supporting service members, veterans, and military families in transitioning into meaningful employment opportunities while fostering strong relationships with employers and community partners throughout High Point, North Carolina. This position is expected to be hybrid, spending time in the Business High Point Office and with periodic travel throughout the Triad market with quarterly travel to Headquarters in Charlotte.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Employer Development (50%) Lead initiatives to prepare employers for the inclusion of Service Members, Veterans, and Military Families (SMVFs), focusing on creating meaningful employment opportunities. Identify and track key metrics to assess business development throughout High Point (e.g. new relationships developed, ERG engagements, Number of veterans hired, etc.). Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers, staffing agencies, and non-profit employment providers to reduce SMVF unemployment and underemployment. Organize educational and networking events that connect job-seeking veterans and spouses with potential employers. Oversee and execute SMVF hiring campaigns, including large-scale job fairs and targeted recruitment efforts. Provide expert guidance to employers on best practices for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining SMVF talent. Act as a thought leader, convener, and facilitator for veteran and spouse employment, covering all stages of the employment process (recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention). Track key metrics (e.g., number hired, resumes reviewed, interviews conducted) to assess and report on the effectiveness of hiring efforts. 2. Case Management (30%) Provide personalized case management services to military members, veterans, and their families, guiding them through career transition and job placement. Utilize case management platforms (e.g., Unite Us) to track client progress, referrals, and resource connections. Identify and track key metrics to assess hiring efforts’ effectiveness (e.g., number hired, interviews conducted, resumes reviewed, etc.).? Foster a supportive environment for individuals, assisting in identifying and overcoming barriers to employment and community reintegration. Conduct regular case reviews for complex cases, ensuring veterans and their families receive necessary resources and services. Follow-up with veterans to ensure timely services and positive outcomes, maintaining a strong reputation within the veteran community. Coordinate with service providers to ensure that referrals are accurately managed, and clients are connected to appropriate resources. Document all veteran interactions, referrals, and services provided in the case management system, adhering to best practice guidelines. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and case. 3. Community Engagement (20%) Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, service providers, and key stakeholders within the veteran network. Collaborate with other Employment Navigators and community partners to support the veteran employment continuum. Facilitate outreach initiatives to enhance community engagement, ensuring veterans and their families are aware of available resources. Be intentional in working with diversity and inclusion partners to address economic mobility and racial justice challenges within the veteran community. Engage with community organizations to promote veteran and spouse employment opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment across the network. Respond to inquiries from individuals, organizations, and providers, offering guidance and resources. Assist with immediate crisis situations by connecting veterans with appropriate services and support.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Seek supervision and take initiative in process improvement and sustainability strategies. Participate in leadership and team meetings. Perform other assigned duties to support the overarching mission, goals, and objectives of Veterans Bridge Home, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:
U.S. Military Veteran or Spouse, with first-hand experience in military transition. Bachelor’s degree required or five+ years of relevant experience in case management, employment services, or community engagement. Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment with a strong sense of urgency. A strong desire and passion to assist military members, veterans, and their families. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent facilitation/coaching skills. Strong customer experience/influencing skills. Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of web-based applicant tracking systems and case management platforms. Experience in a corporate talent acquisition environment preferred.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
