Foster Care SUMMARY:
This person is responsible for the recruitment of foster parents, training and licensing of the foster parents.
The responsibilities as outlined below:
POSITION
Responsibilities:
Recruiting of foster parents for programs in Mecklenburg, Gaston and other Counties. MAPP training of recruited foster parents to meet the needs of the agency, family foster care, therapeutic foster care and rapid response care. Train new foster parents on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience. Facilitate Orientation sessions for potential foster parents. Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions. Train new foster parents on agency’s forms used for service delivery. Inform foster parents on scheduled training and track their progress. Assist case management and monitor case load when needed to assist the department Monitor each foster home to ensure the environment remains safe according to licensure standards. Assist the Compliance and Training Coordinator with supervision and proper completion of incident and accident reports according to state mandates and the timely submission Assist the Compliance and Training Coordinator with training to foster parents on the diagnosis of the youth placed in the home to help with better understanding of types of behaviors to expect. Attend state required 24 hours of pertinent trainings annually. Observe and maintain confidentiality as mandated in HIPAA regulations and that of UCF. Maintain all Client Rights and ensure there is no abuse or neglect tacking place in the foster home. Responds appropriately to all inquiries following all company policies, procedures rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/ DESIRABLE SKILLS
Ability to analyze and solve problems. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills. Have knowledge of Licensure Rules. Certified and Experienced with the MAPP and Deciding Together training curriculum. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Equivalent Required. The ability to conduct different types of interviews. Experience with recruitment processes and databases. The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies. Excellent decision-making skills. Prefer at least 5 years of experience with recruiting. Prefer at least 3-5 years of Recruitment experience, Licensing and relicensing processes.
