Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Support Services Associate position in Building Environmental Services & Recycling duties include but are not limited to: + Maintain equipment inventory and repair records. + Compile maintenance checklist and report needs to BES Zone Supervisor. + Complete individual duties and responsibilities as assigned. + Test and suggest recommendations on supply and equipment purchases. + Operates assigned vehicles on and/or off campus. Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or successful completion of its equivalency and one year of relevant experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
+ High school diploma or GED equivalency. + Two years’ experience demonstrating the ability to perform a range of services to support the operations of the equipment and supply chain management team. + Ability to properly use and care for all manual and power equipment and chemicals required in Building Environmental Services and floor care functions. + Strong customer service orientation. + Effective comprehensive skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications needed for position. + Knowledge and skill with Google Chrome, Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn new programs required. + Ability to effectively work/interact and to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork. + Operates assigned vehicles on and/or off campus and is required to possess, maintain, or obtain a valid driver’s license upon appointment to the position.
