Job Description ECU Department of Academic Affairs - Brody School of Medicine is seeking to hire up to 4 Student (X2) Self Help positions to serve as Summer Camp Counselors/Chaperones for the Brody Pathways to Health Careers summer program between June 8
- June 30, 2025. Counselors would be responsible for the supervision of 6th
- 12th grade students and have the following responsibilities:
o Assists with academic instruction.
o Assists with the organization resource material and helps staff set up classroom/laboratory activities.
o Assists with program opening and closing activities accompanies participants to camp events or activities, as necessary.
o Interacts with the faculty, staff, participants, parents, and other administrative staff.
o Lives in a residence hall for the week and is responsible for the primary care of an assigned group of participants living in his/her building.
o Monitors and implements program, university, and residence hall policies.
o Fosters participants’ academic and personal development.
o Chaperones participant for on and off campus trips/tours and is responsible for assigned group.
o Chaperones students between ECU Main Campus and Health Science Campus and is responsible for assigned group.
o Chaperones students in dining halls and is responsible for assigned group.
o Reports all incidents in and around residence hall to program staff.
o Cooperates fully with the program Director, program staff and other professional staff to promote effective academic and living habits.
o Attends all special occasions/functions/ events for the week and assists with participant check‐in/check
- out.
