Outreach & Adult Student Support Coach 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Henderson, NC 27536 JOB The Outreach and Adult Student Support Coach reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services on the implementation of essential job duties related to outreach and student support, particularly for adult learners ages 25-55. This position serves as a connector between the college and the community, helping prospective and current students navigate the enrollment process and access support services. The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services will provide primary guidance, manage the major resources the employee relies on to perform his/her work, conduct performance reviews, and provide all other direct supervision. TeleworkingThis position is eligible for up to one day of teleworking per week after 9 months of employment, consistent with the College’s Teleworking Policy.

This role offers a flexible schedule, including remote and in-office work. Evening and weekend hours are required to support community engagement and student needs. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Community Engagement & OutreachRepresent the College at community events and with partner organizations to promote programs and services to adult learners.

Attend and support programs and events in the community, especially those designed for traditionally underrepresented populations and adults.

Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services to develop and implement outreach strategies and increase community engagement.

Student Support & AdvisingServe as a liaison between the student and other student services offices such as career services, financial aid, and advising.

Guide prospective, new, and current students through the enrollment process, which could include completing admission, financial aid, and other related enrollment paperwork.

Collaborate with adult students and assigned academic advisors to provide an extra layer of support to help students overcome any barrier to their success.

Provide a student-centered, supportive enrollment experience for all students.

Maintain knowledge of deadlines and general college policies/protocols that relate to admissions, financial aid, tuition payment, testing, orientation, class registration, add/drop, and withdrawal processes to assist students in making informed decisions.

Communication & Relationship ManagementCommunicate effectively in verbal and written form with prospective applicants, current students, families, and college faculty and staff.

Program Knowledge & GuidanceMaintain current knowledge of academic and continuing education programs to guide students in making informed career, education, and life decisions.

Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records on prospective students (inquiry to applicant) and document student interactions and outcomes within the college’s CRM/Student Success & Engagement system.

Track and report on prospective student engagement and application progress.

Professional Development & College ServiceParticipate in professional development activities and maintain knowledge of current trends in student success and retention.

Attend workshops and training to keep abreast of changing regulations, procedures, and technology as it applies to the function of the admissions, outreach, and student support.

Serve on committees related to student success, advising, and academic support as needed.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Light work that includes moving objects up to 30 pounds.

Normal office (cubicle) environment includes sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time.

Frequent travel within the service area.
