Reporting to the Director of Graduate Career Services, the primary role of the Associate Director for Full-Time MBA Careers is to lead the development and administration of a robust suite of career services designed to serve the employment aspirations of the Full-Time MBA student population at the Jenkins Graduate School of Management. This position may also support the student career needs of other Jenkins Graduate programs. The Associate Director’s primary responsibilities will include: Design and deliver career services offerings for full-time MBA students seeking internships, full-time jobs, co-ops, or other career aspirations: Partner with students to ensure placement success.
Focus on continuous evaluation and iteration of career support resources to ensure students are equipped to compete for and secure MBA-level employment.
Develop and implement year-round offerings to meet said competency development needs. Offerings could include but are not limited to: Pre-Orientation (summer) and Orientation workshops and programming, MBA career course (MBA 610), 1-on-1 coaching, workshops, industry and alumni panels, networking events, digital tools, etc.
Employment outcomes and metrics:
Design and implement a process to collect, analyze, and deliver internal and external reports on full-time MBA employment outcomes in alignment with industry standards.
Implement a process to collect, analyze and report on key metrics that evaluate student satisfaction with coaching and programming, impact of the activities, and the overall effectiveness of full-time MBA career and professional development offerings.
Support Career Center and larger Poole College community:
Assist with Career Center events and initiatives as needed.
Work closely with internal stakeholders such as student services, employer relations, marketing, development, faculty, alumni, and to advance the career center’s mission.
Contribute to College level initiatives through involvement in employer relations, alumni relations, advisory boards, task forces, or committees.
Supervise adjunct career coaches, graduate assistants, and student workers as needed; delegate programming content creation and delivery as appropriate.

Other Work/Responsibilities:

Meet with students and coach them on all aspects of job search, resumes, cover letters, negotiations, interviewing, networking, professional presence, leadership skills, visa regulations, etc.
Create moderate and present online and on-campus synchronous classes and events.
Help keep student information and alumni information up-to-date in Career Center CRM.
Attend networking, corporate visits, information sessions, etc.
Research and integrate instructional technologies into the Graduate Career Services program.
Provide project management and logistics support.
Manage financial transactions, reimbursements, and vendor payments within position scope.
Maintain suite of online, asynchronous career development and job search tools.

Minimum Experience/Education:

MBA or MA in counseling or bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of professional work experience in the private sector, experience in working in one or more fields that employs MBA’s.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in career skill development workshop delivery.
Proven ability to relate to teach effectively and present to large groups, customizing services to respond to the needs of the Professional MBA population.
Proven demonstration of using learning technologies to teach and coach.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with adult and online learning processes for seasoned professionals.
Ability to assess impediments to successful career development and provide feedback.
Substantive knowledge of career exploration, job search, career mobility, and entrepreneurship best practices.
Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills.
Attention to detail, superior customer service.
Ability to work independently, but cooperatively in an I team environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to implement systems.
Ability to work flexible, long hours on a seasonal basis. Some evening and travel may be necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with, knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in business careers.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Knowledge of and experience coaching international students on H-1B restrictions.
Experience coaching domestic and international students on effective career management and job search skills in one-on-one, small, and large group settings.
An understanding of and appreciation for the needs and concerns of a diverse MBA student body.
Deep commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
