Job Type:
Full-Time The Merrimack School District is seeking a Technology Coordinator for Education who will be responsible for supporting our middle school and high school (grades 7-12). The ideal candidate will work with teachers, staff, and students to ensure that technology is used positively, effectively, and efficiently while enhancing the learning experience for students. This person will also analyze and interpret assessment data and provide educators with strategies to help educators find gaps and strategies for improving assessment outcomes. The candidate will report to the Director of Technology and building Principals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational technology.
Vast knowledge of various technology tools and resources that can be used to make learning more engaging and motivating for students.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff, students, and parents.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students on implementing technology while supporting district initiatives and goals.
Ability to be proactive and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience designing and implementing technology-infused lessons and activities that engage and motivate students while giving teachers deeper insight into student achievement.
Experience with analyzing and interpreting assessment data and finding areas of growth, then providing guidance of using technology to help build that growth.
Duties:
Work with teachers to develop and implement lessons and activities that seamlessly integrate technology that are also engaging, promote positive participation, and motivate students to learn.
Monitor and analyze assessment data to make recommendations for improving learning outcomes.
Provide training for educators on how to analyze and interpret the assessment data and promote a culture of inquiry around feedback and growth.
Collaborate with and coach teachers to integrate technology and technology standards into the curriculum and instruction.
Help promote, develop, and implement a culture of appropriate and positive use of technology.
Evaluate, train, and recommend technology tools and resources that enhance the learning experience for students and teachers.
Promote safe digital hygiene practices that keep our student and staff data confidential, secure, and intact.
Coordinate and facilitate technology-related events, workshops, training, and conferences.
