Overview:
The ARC of the Greater Hudson Valley is seeking a Creative Programming & Integration Specialist. The Creative Programming & Integration Specialist is responsible for research and to implement meaningful, person-centered community integration opportunities tailored to individual interests and goals. Develop and coordinate inclusive large-scale special events that encourage participation from both program sites and the broader community. Lead the development of a Day Habilitation newsletter, ensuring representation of all three counties and highlighting achievements, success stories, and creative contributions of individuals. Carry out various creative activities for people supported. Train DSPs on new and innovative creative activities.
Requirements:
Valid driver license with minimum driving experience of one year. Must be able to travel between sites in the 3 Counties. 3+ years experience working with people with disabilities, advance education in place of experience in the field acceptable.
Basic English language skills:
reading, writing, speaking, and knowing arithmetic and mathematical concepts with which to adequately and effectively perform job duties and responsibilities. Ability to negotiate, exercise leadership, work with a diverse population, teach new skills, serve individuals, and participate as a team member. Ability to understand, interpret, convey, and implement instructions and directions.
