Lehigh County, Wayne County, and Carbon County Key Responsibilities:

Identify and build partnerships with local individuals, organizations, schools, and businesses to recruit volunteer mentors. Conduct outreach and informational sessions to educate the community about the program and the impact of mentorship. Match mentors with youth in group homes based on shared hobbies, career interests, and personal goals. Coordinate and facilitate initial introductions, regular check-ins, and mentor-mentee activities. Provide ongoing support, training, and resources for mentors. Collaborate with group home staff to monitor progress and address challenges. Track and report on mentor-mentee engagement, outcomes, and program impact. Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred. Previous experience working with youth, individuals with disabilities, or at-risk populations strongly preferred Ability to build rapport, maintain boundaries, and handle crisis situations calmly. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if transporting residents). Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in group home care.
