Duties include meeting with the job seeker to understand their employment history, preferences, and priorities; consulting internal and external resources to source well-aligned openings; offering targeted resume and cover letter reviews; communicating with the Workforce Advisor about job seeker progress; and communicating with the Job Developer team about well-aligned leads and interest trends.

Job Duties :

Maintain a working knowledge of TANF and the PA Department of Human Services regulations. Ensure effective, accurate and coordinated communications with County Assistance Office personnel. Network and establish working relationships with appropriate personnel at the County Assistance Offices, Community Agencies, Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Organizations and other agencies as needed. Meet with job seeker to collect data relevant to job search (e.g., interests, goals, circumstances) Identify what supports the job seeker might need when searching for and applying to open positions Track job seeker data in Job Search Tracker Conduct job search on behalf of job seeker Facilitate follow-up meeting(s) with job seeker on well-aligned openings for consideration, and to check the status of their job search progress

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and at least two years’ job development/sales experience. Appropriate experience (sales, job development) and/or special training may be substituted in lieu of college degree Working knowledge of job search resources: External job search engines (e.g., Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster.com) System-wide resources (e.g., PA CareerLink® Job Search, leads from Business Service Reps) PA CareerLink® resources (e.g., workshops, labs, Job Developer relationships) Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays. Some inner city travel required. Car preferred. The base pay for this position ranges from $23.63 to $25.83 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
