Apply For Our Open StudentCareer Preparation Instructor Position Today!’ POSITION SUMMARY•Responsible for providing instruction and training to studentsduring the Career Preparation Program. Develops individualachievement plans, evaluates progress to ensure student earlyretention and success in the program. Follows all integrityguidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of studentdata. Conducts effective classroom instruction and evaluatesstudent performance. Ensures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Companyperformance goals. Provides remedial support and guidance forstudents to successfully complete the CPP requirements. Evaluatesand assesses students readiness to transition to CDP. Responsibleto provide students with comprehensive and individualized casemanagement ensuring student progress, retention and completion ofthe Job Corps program. Establishes supportive/mentoringrelationships with students throughout their enrollment andprovides personal and career counseling. Routinely evaluates anddocuments student performance using the case management system.

Coordinates pre-arrival activities to ensure effective transitionto Center life including pre-arrival phone calls, transportation toCenter, CPP welcome celebration, folder review, needs assessment,introduction to Center staff and tour of the Center. Ensures thatarea is organized, clean, safe and conducive to student/staffsuccess Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely andaccurate manner. Maintains appropriate personal attendance,accountability and work productivity standards. Plans, prioritizesand organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.

Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete allrequired job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skillsrequired to perform job duties. Mentors, monitors and models theCareer Success Standards as required by the PRH. Provideshigh-quality supervision and management for the student population.

Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influencesstudent behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holdsthem accountable for their actions and behavior. Provides qualityprograms and services for students and ensures that quality ismaintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement andenhancement of programs and services. Exchanges ideas andinformation, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concisemanner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offeringrelevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timelyinformation to DOL/Company when requested. Effectively articulatesthoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes andevaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommendingactions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is takenand that problems are in fact corrected. Works in partnership withstaff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision andservices are provided to students. Accepts direction andsupervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/ShiftManager to include assignments to temporarily perform jobresponsibilities of other departments and positions. Other dutiesas assigned. Qualifications Post Secondary Degree Required.
