GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to lead, under the direction of the principal, Smaller Learning Communities and intervention programs geared at helping all students to make academic gains. Responsible for reducing chronic absenteeism, ensuring parent involvement in targeted interventions, reducing the achievement gaps as well as ensuring that Tier I instruction follows the 4.0 rubric so that achievement and growth increase across all grade levels.
EDUCATION
Completion of education degree, Master’s preferred.
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of experience working in elementary schools; experience with implementing intervention programs for at-risk students.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
Valid South Carolina teaching certificate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Data Analysis & Interpretation:
Collect, organize, and analyze student assessment data (benchmark, formative, summative, and state assessments).
Assist in identifying trends, achievement gaps, and instructional implications.
Create reports and dashboards to help stakeholders understand student performance data.
Instructional Support:
Collaborate with teachers to plan data-informed instruction.
Model and coach best practices in data-driven teaching strategies.
Support the implementation of tiered interventions (MTSS/RTI frameworks).
Professional Development:
Plan and lead professional development sessions focused on data literacy, assessment strategies, and instructional decision-making.
Train staff on the effective use of data tools and platforms.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Work with grade-level teams during PLCs to review student data and set goals.
Assist in school improvement planning by providing data-based insights.
Act as a liaison between district leadership and school staff regarding data-driven instruction
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
All other duties as assigned by the principal
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Knowledge of appropriate strategies for reducing behaviors that place students at risk of not graduating high school. Ability to analyze, develop, implement, and track intervention plans and strategies. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USAGE
Use computers for data entry; or use hand-held power equipment or light machinery; Use computers for word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations or custom applications.
