Reporting to the Director of Student Support, the manager of Wellness Programs is responsible for managing in a multi-campus environment the planning and implementation of programs and services for students with issues and barriers that adversely impact their ability to fully engage in their curricular and cocurricular experiences. The position works collaboratively with the Student Development Division and cross campus partners to create and deliver programs and services for whole student growth and development, as well as coordinating and cultivating community partner relationships and community outreach. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. In addition, the employee must demonstrate good judgment and be able to consistently apply effective critical thinking and communication skills. The ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality in all assigned tasks is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
STUDENT COUNSELING
(Non-Clinical): Manages and coordinates resource support services, referral and response protocols, and review of supporting information. Connect students with internal and external resources. Utilize a comprehensive case management approach to respond to referrals and track progress of response.
CROSS-COLLEGE COLLABORATION
Provide guidance and collaboration with faculty, staff, and community organizations that promote the welfare of all students. Provides workshops and presentations.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
Provide oversight and management for Wellness Programs. Supervise full and part time staff. Manages operational budgets, including grant funds. Provide regular case file review for employees.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY
Oversees and coordinates collaboration with the Student Support team to create and implement a strategic, holistic programming model related to accessibility, physical, mental, and emotional wellness ranging from broad, campus-wide programming, to class-specific sessions, and individual development.
DEPARTMENTAL SUPPORT
Provides support to Student Development department operations and initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Participate in professional development activities offered through the College, through the State Tech System and other regional organizations as appropriate. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience. Preferred Qualifications A Master’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field is preferred. The employee must possess strong organizational skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. The employee must be able to work in a team environment with persons from different backgrounds and perspectives and relate well to students and faculty in a variety of settings and situations.
