, South Carolina Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work by the State of South Carolina Job Description Provide both group and individual counseling to residents of Lancaster Children’s Home, Inc. (LCH) while meeting their needs as indicated by their behavior and emotional functioning. Family members and others will be included in individual’s treatment as needed. General Duties Participate in professional mental health diagnostic, counseling, treatment and community outreach services to residents of LCH. Assist with career choices for residents Responsibilities and Functions Assist with care plan development utilizing various modalities of treatment Conduct group and individual counseling sessions with residents as determined by their level of care, behavior functioning and emotional functioning. Families and others should be included as necessary. Consult work with other staff to ensure optimal care Maintain Progress Notes for each resident and group session Provide crisis intervention as needed after hours Prepare and turn in correspondence and reports as necessary to implement effective care plans to residents’ case managers. Provide training to LCH staff to assist them in providing a better level of care to the residents of LCH Attend weekly administrative staff meetings and bi-monthly trainings as scheduled by LCH Assist residents in exploring career choices Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director and/or Executive Director
