Our Mobile Support Consultant serves within the Employment Services (ES) division in Columbia. ES programs improve the functioning of the labor market by bringing together individuals who are seeking employment and employers who are seeking workers. This role will oversee Mobile Unit while delivering a broad range of services in job search assistance; UI registration and filing; and assisting job seekers in improving skills to obtain or maintain employment. The Mobile Support Consultant educates individuals In SC Works programs, policies and services. The selected individual will organize employment events like job fairs and recruitment activities, collaborating with regional managers and stakeholders to implement initiatives such as Workforce Development Month.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and transport the Mobile Unit and its contents across the state to aid in recruitment, rapid response, company, and community events. Keep detailed records and reports of the Mobile Unit and its content.
Ensure that all customers that enter the Mobile Unit receives timely, professional, and attentive customer services. Work with customers and communicate services offered at the Mobile Unit, SC Works Centers, and partner agencies. Analyze both client and program information to determine appropriate customized solution.
Collaborate with co-workers, management, and partner staff when scheduling Mobile Unit activities.
Document and report activities and services provided to individuals and employers using the Mobile Unit.
Manage logistics including safety, transportation, and materials to ensure program success and high service quality.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Education and Experience
A high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience providing client centered case management, counseling, rural area work, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
Driver’s license. Requires statewide and overnight travel. Position may require employee to work evenings and weekends. Other Duties as Required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience providing client centered case management, counseling, rural area work, or a related field. Knowledge of Rapid Response services and resources.
