Job Responsibilities
Recruit, interview, and recommend staff for hire for the residential program. Assist in the assignment, coordination, development and implementation of staff training programs. Evaluate the performance of Direct Support Professionals according to the employee Professional Management Service (EPMS) process. Ensure communication with parents on a regular basis. Attend or designate representatives to attend IEP meetings, admissions meetings, and other meetings as requested. Establish or plan daily activities and organize special events for students and encourage staff involvement.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelors degree in human services field or closely related field plus five years related work experience in human services programs including at least one year experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities. This position may require communication modalities dependent upon employment placement.
