Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in secondary education; a current Tennessee teacher’s license with appropriate areas of endorsement; and documentation of the highly qualified status where applicable, current WBL certification

Job Goal:

To assure that all students attain CCR indicators according to their postsecondary goals

Performance Responsibilities:

Work with Middle School Career Exploration teachers to purchase and implement curriculums, equipment, and resources for the Middle School CTE career exploration courses.
Work with Middle School CTE Career Exploration teachers and students to support Career Exploration curriculum.
Work with Middle School CTE Career Exploration teacher to distribute information on student interests/aptitudes to families/guardians and high school counselors.
Work with high school guidance counselors, postsecondary student success coaches, and Maury County School’s students to advise and mentor students on CCR opportunities students have through the CTE career paths.
Work to schedule field trips/tours to the industry partners/postsecondary institutions.
Work to develop targeted plans for high school EPSO participation and postsecondary readiness using career assessments and interest inventories for students using data from various data sources.
Provide progress and interim reports as required on indicators related to CCR.
Work with counselors and grad coaches to disaggregate CCR data, discover trends, and identify solutions.
Plan and deliver professional development opportunities to CTE teachers, counselors, and other MCPS stakeholders.
Recognize and recruit WBL placements and make referrals as appropriate.
Attend department, district, and stakeholder meetings as required.
Respect the confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents, and teachers in accordance with accepted professional ethics, and state and federal laws.
Work as an assistant to the Maury County Public School’s CTE Director.
Perform other duties as assigned by the CTE Director or Director of Schools.

Terms of Employment:

Eleven-month contract with salary as established by the Board of Education.
