Position Summary As a Job Coach in the Employment and Community First (ECF) CHOICES program, you’ll support individuals with developmental disabilities as they pursue and maintain meaningful employment in their communities. You’ll provide hands-on training, advocacy, and coaching to help individuals build both job-specific and independent living skills. Key Responsibilities Learn job duties and teach individuals how to carry them out effectively Provide on-site coaching, gradually reducing support as independence improves Assist with job-related life skills such as grooming and using public transportation Provide or coordinate transportation to and from job sites, as needed Serve as an advocate for individuals and maintain positive employer relationships Communicate and coordinate regularly with the Employment and Community First Coordinator Document services, report concerns, and track individual work schedules Attend annual planning meetings and required trainings Support additional services (e.g., Community Integration, Personal Assistance, Supportive Home Care) based on the individual’s Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP) Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (employment setting preferred) Valid TN, KY, or AL driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills Successful criminal background check & drug test Willingness to complete all required DIDD, PDI, and TennCare ECF training and certifications Important Note A criminal background check and drug test is required for this role.
