Career Exploration Educator 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Rutland, VT 05701 Career Exploration EducatorRutland High SchoolWe seek an experienced, energetic Career Exploration Educator to serve Rutland High Schools learners. The successful candidate for this position will join the Work Based Learning team which is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of a range of work-based learning experiences that take place both inside and outside of the school. This position requires a dynamic individual to assist in various work-based learning experiences at the high school level with a focus on career exploration. This includes the development of student understanding of their interests and talents as well as their career aspirations. Educational licensure is required with a preference for licensure in Business, Work Based Learning, or School Counseling.
The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with students as well as community mentors, promote the work-based learning program to various stakeholders, teach pre-employment and work readiness skills, and assist students with resources and postsecondary planning. The candidate should also have strong communication skills and knowledge of work-based learning guidelines. Very importantly, we are seeking an individual who can enter a collaborative partnership with colleagues, one who is willing to play an active role in a professional learning community to support the education of all students.
