Professional Caregiver Job Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Caregiver who is experienced and compassionate in providing care and support to elderly clients. The Senior Caregiver will be responsible for assisting clients with their daily activities, managing their medication, providing companionship, and offering personal care. The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.

Responsibilities:

• Help with daily activities like toileting, bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Administer medication according to the prescribed schedule
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
• Observe and report changes in the client’s emotional or physical condition
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings
• Ensure that the client’s surroundings are clean and safe
• Perform light housekeeping duties as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as a caregiver, preferably with seniors
• Certified nursing assistant (CNA) or home health aide (HHA) certification preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks like bending, stooping, and reaching and to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
