15.00 – 22.50 Job Summary Provides careto assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner and isresponsible to perform according to location standards, proceduresand individualized resident care plans. Dependent on the location,participates in structured training sessions to acquire skills toobtain certification to provide a higher level of resident care.
Helps residents with outerwear or shoes as needed. Assuresresidents’ spiritual needs are met by willing and employees (Selfor others). Assists residents by passing snacks and trays, pouringbeverages as needed, and maintaining pleasant dining atmosphere.
Assists residents in maintaining proper and clean appearance.
Safeguards residents’ property. Keeps residents’ living areaspleasant and orderly. Provides residents with opportunities forindependence and choice consistent with their care plans. Maintainsresidents’ self-esteem, privacy, and confidentiality of personalinformation. Documents care provided to residents. Receives andshares information; observes and reports residents’ conditions toappropriate staff. Works with team members and other staff membersin a helpful, respectful, and courteous manner. Assists residentsin meeting their social needs through interaction with staff,family, and other residents. Responds appropriately to residentrequests for help and maintains positive relationships withresidents’ friends and family members. Responds promptly toresidents’ call lights. Assists residents in meeting their socialneeds through interaction with staff, family, and other residents.
Seeks clarification of assignments and asks questions when needed.
Expresses ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively both orally andin writing. Requests ongoing feedback on task performance.
Completes documentation as assigned. Listens effectively, shareswork-related information with appropriate staff members. Keepssupervisor informed. Maintains safe work practices and followscenter/campus safety procedures. Follows center/campus infectioncontrol procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma orequivalent preferred. If working at a facility in which a lift isutilized to move residents, must meet the minimum state agerequirement.
