In this role, you will provide essential support and care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and assist them in daily activities, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and individual preferences. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in residents’ health to the nursing staff. Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being. Drive residents to appointments or community outings as needed. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by adhering to hygiene standards. Assist with lifting and transferring residents as required while ensuring their comfort and safety. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans for each resident. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus. Familiarity with home community care practices is beneficial. Ability to assist residents effectively while demonstrating patience and empathy. Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and team members. Must be able to lift heavy objects or assist in lifting residents as necessary.
