Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential facility for individuals with developmental disabilities. The House Manager will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of residents, coordinating staff schedules, and maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration, and medical appointments
- Find coverage/be on-call to cover shifts as needed
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident
- Supervise and train staff members on proper caregiving techniques and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of resident progress, incidents, and medications
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Coordinate with medical professionals, therapists, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive care for residents
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility, including cleanliness, safety measures, and repairs
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure adequate stock levels
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, dignity, and respect for all residents
Skills:
- Strong drive to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role
- Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
- Proficient in performing tasks such as heavy lifting, assisting with mobility, and monitoring vital signs
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively
- Familiarity with senior care practices is a plus
