Assisted Living Caregiver Serenity South Troy Senior Living 610 Botts Avenue, Troy, AL 36081 Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Caregivers to provide high-quality care to residents in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and will be responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents. This role requires a commitment to upholding resident rights and delivering personalized care tailored to individual needs. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes in health status are communicated to the appropriate staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging environment. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of resident living areas, including common spaces. Adhere to all policies regarding resident rights, privacy, and dignity while providing care. Assist with medication management under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of best practices in assisted living care. Requirements Previous experience in personal care home settings or assisted living facilities is preferred. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and first aid practices is a plus. Familiarity with resident rights and the ability to advocate for residents’ needs effectively. Experience in home care or group home environments is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to engage with residents compassionately while respecting their individuality and preferences.
