As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the assistance necessary to maintain their independence and dignity in their own homes. This position requires a commitment to delivering personalized care while fostering a supportive and respectful environment. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting social interaction and engagement. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules. Support clients with mobility challenges, including lifting and transferring when necessary. Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Manage conflicts effectively, addressing any issues that may arise with sensitivity and professionalism. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to appropriate family members or healthcare professionals. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred; experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Knowledge of mental health care practices is beneficial for working with clients experiencing cognitive decline. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual client needs. Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively. Ability to administer medications accurately and responsibly. Experience in childcare may be advantageous for those working with families or children requiring assistance. Physical ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility as needed. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
