The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a comfortable environment. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those in need of assistance. Duties Provide patient care by assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as necessary. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Monitor patients’ health by observing and reporting changes in condition. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper dosage and timing. Assist with daily activities such as light housekeeping, laundry, and errands. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant changes in the client’s condition. Experience Previous experience in home care, group home, or hospice care is preferred. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and medication administration is a plus. Certification in CPR or first aid is highly desirable. A background in nursing home settings may be beneficial for understanding patient needs. Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to caregiving are essential.
