About the Role As a caregiver, you will work directly with residents to provide personalized care, following support plans tailored to their needs. Key Responsibilities Daily Living Assistance :
Help residents with daily activities, such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
Personal Care :
Assist with hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Household Support :
Perform tasks such as changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized home environment.
Medication Support :
Administer prescribed medications and immunizations following protocols.
Health Monitoring :
Observe and document residents’ health, conditions, and progress, and communicate any changes to supervisors.
Engagement and Inclusion :
Encourage participation in exercises, social activities, and community inclusion.
Companionship :
Build meaningful relationships through conversation or reading aloud to promote mental health and alertness.
What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions. At least one year of prior professional caregiving experience. Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screening. Current CPR certification. Valid driver’s license. Physical ability to lift, perform repetitive tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with diverse patient needs. Empathy, reliability, and strong communication skills. Graduation from an accredited Home Health Aide program. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Certification in Medication Administration. DIRECT CARE PROVIDER POSITION DESCRIPTION
Resident Care:
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide total personal care, including complex medical procedures and assistance with personal hygiene as needed. Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to established protocols and procedures. Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being and promptly report changes to supervisors.
Daily Living Support:
Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and ensure dietary needs are met. Engage residents in social activities and outings to enhance their quality of life. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by cleaning, sanitizing, and performing laundry duties.
Documentation and Compliance:
Accurately document resident care, incident reports, and daily activity logs. Ensure compliance with all company policies, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.
Team Collaboration:
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions. Participate in team discussions to review resident care plans and address concerns.
Physical and Work Environment:
Work is performed in a residential care facility, which may include exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids.
