He is sweet-natured, enjoys routines, and thrives with compassionate and structured care. The home includes four friendly dogs, so comfort with animals is essential. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support and supervision in a calm, supportive environment. Assist with daily routines( meals, hygiene, learning activities, etc. Use nonverbal communication techniques ( visual aids, gestures, or assistive technology to communicate and connect) Facilities safe and engaging sensory play and calm activities. Help maintain a structures, low-stimulation setting. Communicate regularly with parents about progress and needs. Engage in sensory play, calming activities, or short walks( as appropriate) Respect and support his unique needs and personality. Skills Experience with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion. Ability to perform CPR and respond effectively in emergencies. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients and their families. Comfortable around dogs and in a pet-friendly home. Clear background check and reference CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
