Caregiver 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Port Charlotte, FL 33952 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors / people with disabilities and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our Residents. This role requires a blend of personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication assistance and support in daily activities within various settings, including home health, group homes, and ALF’S. Responsibilities Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing to clients. Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation, cooking, and feeding. Assist with self administration of medication. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily routines. Monitor and document client health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals. Administer first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following hygiene protocols. Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Skills Experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable. Certified in first aid and CPR techniques is essential. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient care and compassion. Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs. Familiarity with home community care practices is beneficial. Experience in home health settings is an asset. Understanding of group home or Assisted living facilities / nursing home environments is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. $150.00 – $180.00 per day
