In-Home Caretaker God’s Bless Home Health Punta Gorda, FL 33983 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to provide essential support and care to individuals in need, including seniors and those with special needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of resident rights and the ability to assist with daily living activities while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care. Duties Provide assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported promptly. Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents, adhering to hygiene standards. Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and emotional well-being, particularly for those with memory care needs. Support individuals with autism by implementing effective communication strategies and behavioral techniques. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a trusting relationship with residents. Assist with hospice care as required, ensuring dignity and comfort during end-of-life stages. Uphold resident rights at all times, advocating for their needs and preferences. Qualifications Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of CPR techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring is beneficial. Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment. Experience or training in memory care practices is desirable. Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum.
