The individual is a 60-year-old male in need of a companion who is compassionate and outgoing who will take him out to socialize and to community outings. The ideal candidate is someone who is kind-hearted, patient, caring, and reliable. He enjoys bowling, visiting the mall, car rides, parks, movies, museums, the beach, loves eating, sports (especially hockey), getting his hair cut, and spending time at the library. This is an independent contract position and pays $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday from 1pm – 5pm (to start) eventually will be 12 hours a week You will be a good fit for this position if you: Have a positive outlook and contagious energy Demonstrate patience and compassion Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role: Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities Assisting with personal hygiene Helping with transfers and mobility Meal/snack preparation Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to the park Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization Complete daily progress notes Qualifications and Skills Valid driver’s license Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
