This position involves working closely with clients to enhance their quality of life through personal care, companionship, and daily living assistance. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, empathetic, and possess the skills necessary to effectively support clients in a variety of settings. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s well-being. Monitor and document vital signs as needed to ensure client health and safety. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Engage clients in memory care activities to promote cognitive function and social interaction. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times. Skills Experience in social work or senior care is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of hospice care practices is beneficial for providing end-of-life support. Familiarity with patient care techniques, including monitoring vital signs. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities. Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients and their families. Capability for heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
