Overview:

Provides patient supervision, care, and activities services in accordance with professional staff direction and unit procedures. Assists patients in activities of daily living, assists in implementing treatment plans and provides supportive contact with patients.

ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises patients during program activities, meals and all unscheduled times or as directed by supervisor. Assists patients with activities of daily living as necessary (eating, laundry, personal hygiene, etc.) Assists patients in ambulating as needed.
Assists in meal preparation, serving, and clean-up in conjunction with unit staff. Supervises and documents meal intake as directed by nursing or supervisory staff.
Oversee residents’ self-administration of medication and documents appropriately in the client’s MAR. Communicates any medication-related errors immediately to supervisor or on-call administrator when applicable.
Orients residents to unit/facility, rules and responsibilities, schedules and activities, etc. at time of admission/transfer in accordance with Program Rules procedure. Inspects belongings upon admission and on-going after unsupervised off campus outings.

Attendance:

Consistent work attendance. Complies with assigned / scheduled work hours, use and scheduling of leave, and punctuality.

Shift:

7:30pm-8:00am, 12 hour

Nights Qualifications Education/Experience:

A high school diploma or its equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in a patient care setting preferred.

Licensure or Certification:

Must obtain and maintain current CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications.
Must possess current, valid driver’s license and maintain Apalachee Designated Auto Driver status.
