Town Center Parkway, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202 Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers/Companions to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they are residing at home, in a nursing home, or receiving hospice care. As a Caregiver/Companion, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering a nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation. Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed regimens. Provide support for individuals with dementia, employing specialized techniques to enhance their comfort and understanding. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document care provided and communicate any concerns or changes in client status to family members or healthcare professionals. Skills Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home care or hospice care is preferred. Ability to cook nutritious meals and cater to dietary restrictions as needed. Strong observational skills for monitoring patient conditions and recognizing vital signs. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role. Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.
