Bradenton, FL 34205 Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Staff to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in their home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Client rights and be committed to promoting the well-being and dignity of each individual. This role is essential in assisting with daily activities, medication administration, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and cooking. Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate records are maintained. Administer medications according to established protocols while adhering to resident rights. Support social work initiatives by engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing companionship. Maintain a clean and safe environment within their home, following all health and safety guidelines. Respond promptly to resident needs and concerns, advocating for their well-being. Participate in training sessions, including CPR certification and other relevant educational opportunities. Qualifications Previous experience working with the DD/IDD population, nursing home or group home setting is preferred. Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding them. Familiarity with medication administration procedures. Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary requirements while considering individual preferences. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing care for others. CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
