This role is essential in providing personalized care and support to individuals with various needs, including those with disabilities, autism, and memory care requirements. As an In Home Support professional, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety and comfort in a home environment. Responsibilities Provide assistance to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Monitor clients’ health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Support clients with developmental disabilities by fostering independence and promoting skill development. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care is provided. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism, or in long-term care settings is highly desirable but not required. Familiarity with memory care techniques and patient monitoring practices is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A compassionate approach to caregiving that emphasizes respect for client dignity and autonomy. Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs are beneficial.
