Direct Care Professional Urgently hiring Jackson Preferred Care 10711 SW 216th Street, Miami, FL 33170 We are looking for a competent Caregiver to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. It’s an often-demanding job as you will have to be available for most of the day and week. But it can also be very satisfying and rewarding, since people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are thankful for high quality assistance. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. We are hiring for two shifts:
Dayshift:
8:30 -3:30 pm
Weekends:
7:00-12:00 pm •Must have assitance with (lifting patient)•Must be comfortable working independently and communicating•
Mornings:
Qualifications Minimum qualifications for a Personal Support/Companion services include: Be at least 21 years of age. Have one year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or childcare setting, or in working with recipients having developmental disabilities. Have college, vocational, or technical training from an accredited institution. Can substitute at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 classroom hours for the required experience. Must pass a Background screening (Level 2) Must pass local background. Proof of meeting High school diploma/GED (original copies of transcripts) Must possess a valid Driver’s license. Must provide proof of active Auto Insurance Complete W-9 form. Must complete Medication Training Must complete HIPAA Training Must complete Direct core competencies training. Must complete HIV training within the first 30 days of hire. Can lift up to 30 lbs Self driven and motivated Responsibilities Medication Reminder Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.) Assist clients with personal care and hygiene. Help clients with physical therapy exercises. Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able) Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop. Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own. Be a pleasant and supportive companion. Report any unusual incidents. Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Skills Proven experience as a caregiver Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR) Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards. Respectful and compassionate Good time management skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Strong ethics Physical endurance High school diploma or equivalent We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with activities of daily living. Provide support and guidance to individuals in a respectful and professional manner. Maintain accurate records of services provided. Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in the program. Assist individuals with medical appointments, shopping, and other errands as needed. Develop and implement individualized service plans for each individual. Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals involved in the individual’s care.
