Homemaker / Companion Flexible Shifts in Marathon, FL Right at Home Palmetto Bay Miami, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $13 – $15 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification English High school diploma or GED Driver’s License 1 year Entry level Full Job Description Provides for the maintenance of safe and clean environment. Performs various housekeeping tasks, meal preparation and companionship activities for clients in their residences Essential Functions Adheres to Right at Home policies and procedures. Performs work under the supervision of the Staffing Coordinator/Operations Manager Performs homemaking activities contained in the Client Home Record which includes, but is not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms Prepares meals and snacks for client according to client/family and supervisor’s instructions. May perform grocery shopping, if prearranged with office. Provides companionship for client including accompanying client on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies etc. The homemaker is responsible for written documentation of service provided Provides standby assistance for transferring or lifting of client Provides stand by assistance on personal care services such as bathing dressing and shaving Additional (non-essential) Functions Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor Working Conditions/Environment Primarily works in client’s place of residence, travel required. Shift times and days vary with client needs.

Requirements:

CPR and First Aid Training Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job. The Companion/Homemaker will NOT perform any of the following: Contact the physician directly, but rather refer all question or reports to the supervisor. Administering of any medications, ointments, eye drops, etc. Administering of any medications, ointments, eye drops, etc. Heavy duty household chores such as washing walls, waxing floors, washing windows, etc. Household repairs or maintenance Cut fingernails or toenails of any client
