In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives within their communities. Duties As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include: Assisting individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene. Providing home community care to enhance the quality of life for clients. Supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals and fostering independence. Engaging clients in social and recreational activities that promote inclusion and personal growth. Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients. Administering first aid and CPR as needed, ensuring the health and safety of those in your care. Documenting progress and any changes in client behavior or health status accurately. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient care, including knowledge of first aid and CPR. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving. A clean background check is required for employment. Certification as a nurse or relevant healthcare experience is a plus but not mandatory. High school diploma or GED.
